new sketch and bunnies

happy spring everyone! at least if you are here or near philadelphia...oh my. it's been in the 70's and sunny all week!!!! sooo hard to work when it's beautiful outside!!! however, i'm trying to keep a schedule (if you know me, don't laugh) i'm kinda allergic to schedules. BUT, i have stuff in the works...so working is a must.

here's a new sketch i'm excited about..

 

now for color..always the hard part for me....i guess it's the sculptor in me.  however, i do love roaming through my favorite vintage shop and getting inspiration from the old oddities.

while buying art supplies, i found this book that took me right back to when i was a kid.  i LOVED this book, and would just stare at the illustrations forever.  such a lovely story...i couldn't wait to read it to my boys.

ok....why now i'm writing in the middle of page is beyond me...i am sooo not savvy in any word doc. but look! i said word doc. that's savvy.

ridiculously sweet. i want a bunny rabbit that wears these sweet clothes and sews and mends...i do have kittens. hmmm....

i'm trying out some collage work too...i love cutting and pasting. i'm probably the only artist who literally cuts and pastes.  my husband was like, " um...can't you just do that in photo shop?" yeah. but it will take me 10 hrs. this is simple and fun. i feel like i'm back in school.

here's one i am just just starting....

oooooooh. love how it pops out on the white! i'm such a messy drawer/painter. this is a way to solve that problem.  i'm just cutting out old prints that were damaged. we'll see how it turns out.

some will go on this freshly gessoed paper....ooooooooh.....
